Artwork Guidelines

To help ensure your order is produced accurately and on time, please read our artwork guidelines before submitting your files. Supplying artwork in the correct format helps us avoid unnecessary delays, additional costs and ensures the highest quality print or embroidery.

If your artwork isn't suitable for production, we can recreate or convert it into the correct format. This service starts from £20.00 + VAT, depending on the complexity of the design. We will always discuss any artwork charges with you and obtain your approval before carrying out any work.

Print Artwork

Preferred File Formats

The preferred file format for print is a vector file, such as EPS, AI or PDF.

Vector artwork can be scaled to any size without losing quality, ensuring crisp, sharp results every time. A simple way to identify a vector file is to zoom in—edges will remain smooth and clean. Bitmap or raster images (such as JPEGs or PNGs) become pixelated or blurry when enlarged and are generally unsuitable for professional printing.

Please note that simply saving a JPEG or PNG as an EPS file does not convert it into a vector. If the original artwork is a bitmap image, it will still require redrawing before it can be printed.

Screen Printing

For screen printing, artwork should be supplied using Pantone Spot Colours wherever possible.

Each colour is printed separately, so artwork should be colour separated to ensure accurate production. If your artwork has not been prepared in this way, we can make the necessary adjustments for you.

Screen printing is most cost-effective for larger quantities and has a minimum order quantity of 50 garments per design.

Fonts

If your artwork contains text, all fonts should be converted to curves (or paths/outlines depending on your design software) before being supplied.

Converting fonts ensures your artwork appears exactly as intended, even if we do not have the original font installed. Failure to convert fonts may result in text displaying incorrectly or requiring artwork amendments.

Embroidery Artwork

For embroidery, we can accept most common artwork formats provided they are of a high resolution.

Before a logo can be embroidered, it must first be digitised into a stitch file. This is a specialist process that converts your artwork into instructions for our embroidery machines.

A one-off digitising fee of £15.00 + VAT applies to new logos. Once digitised, your embroidery file will be securely stored on your account for future orders, meaning you won't pay this charge again unless the design changes.

Artwork Approval

Once your order has been placed, you will normally receive an Artwork Approval within one working day.

Your approval will show the artwork, garment colours, positioning and sizing exactly as it will be produced. Please check everything carefully before approving.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all details are correct, including:

  • Spelling and grammar
  • Colours
  • Garment selection
  • Logo positioning
  • Sizes and measurements
  • Quantities
  • Production cannot begin until artwork has been approved.

Please note that two rounds of artwork amendments are included free of charge. Any further revisions may incur an additional artwork charge, which will always be discussed and agreed with you beforehand.
